Terms of use for the public site, member access, Stripe-billed Explorer plans, and contact-led services.

These terms govern your use of FranchiseCensus, a franchise research product operated by GroundRoof LLC. By accessing the site, creating an account, or requesting a report, you agree to these terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time by posting a revised version on this page.

Some research is available only to signed-in members. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for activity that occurs under your account.

• Keep your login credentials confidential and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
• Do not share one account across unrelated users, resell account access, or attempt to bypass membership controls.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts used for abuse, fraud, scraping, or violations of these terms.

You may use FranchiseCensus for lawful internal research, evaluation, and business analysis. You may not use the site in ways that harm the service, infringe rights, or misappropriate the data product.

• Do not scrape, harvest, or bulk-download the site without written permission.
• Do not interfere with the service, probe for vulnerabilities, or evade rate limits or access controls.
• Do not republish member-only tables, reports, or substantial portions of the database as your own product.

Explorer membership is available through self-serve Stripe billing. Report purchases, custom research, team access, and other commercial services are still handled through direct contact unless we state otherwise.

Any custom scope, delivery timeline, pricing, or permitted use for a paid engagement may be supplemented or replaced by a separate written proposal, order form, or agreement.

FranchiseCensus organizes information from public disclosures and other records, but we do not guarantee that every record is complete, current, or error-free. You are responsible for verifying information before making investment, legal, operational, or commercial decisions.

Content on the site is for informational purposes only and is not legal, accounting, investment, or franchise advisory advice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FranchiseCensus and its operator disclaim warranties of any kind and will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

The site design, software, copy, original analysis, visual presentation, and database compilation created by FranchiseCensus are protected by applicable intellectual property law.

Underlying public-source materials remain subject to their original licenses, source notices, and attribution requirements. Our use of Korea FTC-derived data, for example, remains subject to KOGL attribution terms where disclosed.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, including membership features, report offerings, or access controls.
